Hello hello hi,
I’m having an issue during initial setup. When the axis are homing the build plate back board, when rising, hits the extruder fan, causing the motor to jitter and require switch off as it cannot surpass this point.
Seems very strange.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Is the back board completely vertical? It’s hard to tell from the photo but it looks like its tilting to the front. Perhaps it was damaged during shipment. You could just remove it and run the printer that way.
I had a similar problem and just removed it, since it isn’t needed for anything. Though before you remove it, put some tape or something over the open holes in the bottom and/or be very careful not to drop the screws when you remove them – or you’ll be tearing into the electronics compartment trying to fish it out (I know from experience)…

Move your Y axis end stop fwd the distance you need it to clear.
The y axis end stop could have gotten loose and moved.
I just looked at my FFCP and its a close clearance. The thing stopping it from hitting was the y axis end stop.

Ours didn’t clash, but we replaced ours with a thinner printed plate with our logo on. Very easy to measure and model but if you want one making just drop us a message.
