i am very much a newbie to this world so please accept my apologies for any assumptions I have in regards to this 21st century experience. A little over six months ago I created a shape in various materials to get the idea out of my head. Once I had conquered the complications of construction using paper, cardboard and finally balsa wood. I wanted an easier way to create what I had done. I opted for 3D printing, this began a journey of working in a completely new platform of using 3D spatial program to created a digital format ( I had only worked in a 2d world and a little woodwork). Once all this work was done I was surprised that what was needed to recreated this was a file that was of the smallest file size I had ever acknowledged as being a productive tool (1kb) and from that I have the image used in my profile a grey resin print. Following that had a platinum silicone mold cast and pull. Filled with optimism I tried to find a way to take advantage of this new methodology. I emailed several places in the uk to get this shape recreated in metal not one place replied not even a quote or estimation. Left with no other option than to use casting options which seemed like a way to bring less precision to something that will work best the more precise it is. I appreciate that because someone may be new to something does not mean what they say is meaningless although that is what my experiences left me feeling. Good luck with your project … If anyone replied at all. I created an account on this platform and after uploading this file a multitude of options were available to produce in metal with delivery times but not one was I pound sterling. Am I to feel satisfied that the reason I did not get a reply was because they could not do it? Or pleased that what I want is actually possible but not here in the UK?. Have I somehow caused some offence to someone?

I am now able at least give a potential price if someone may want this shape I call hexatrigon in a metal of their choosing. Regards, Mark thanks for listening
