so i stupidly updated my firmware from the stock 7.2 ‘creator 1.0’ firmware of my ctc printer to the latest 7.5 stock firmware and now my sd card wont recognise my old 4gb sdhc, ive read this is an issue that stock firmware limits you to 2 gd sd cards?#

only one i had was a micro sd with an adapter i put it in and it recognises it but tells me it must be formatted to fat16?? i use windows so cant just format it with out messing about trying to find a app to do this?

my question is , is there a fix ??i tried downgrading back to 7.2 but this didnt fix the issue?

ideally i need the stock creator 1.0 firmware the ctc is shipped with if anyone has it?

It would seem the simplest thing would be is to get a smaller card unless there is an issue with the firmware other than that.

Not sure its that easy , tried a 2gb micro sd in an adapter i had and it wanted me to format it to fat 16? im really annoyed by thi why offer a firmware update that makes whit worse?!

Some firmware is just limited. A micro SD may just not be compatible. I have an SD card reader on a PC that won’t read a micro in an adapter but will read the card straight.

Some firmware needs 2gig or less, no folders, file names under 30 characters etc.

These boards in the printers are really very basic processors so a programmer has to prioritize function importance.

On one of my printers I thought about going to a touch screen display but found out that the board driving the printer isn’t up to it and it is a new printer.
