A lead broke on my creator pro’s heating cartridge, and I stuck a generic one in it’s place, but there are issues. I heats up super quick. In like 20 seconds. Then it continue to heat far past it’s set point, until it triggers a tool failure. Although once you get it to the proper temp, it holds steady, however I have already burned up the generic heater. Probably from it heating up so quickly.
Is there any generic heating cartridge I can put in this printer or any way to get one quickly? The OEM ones are like 25 bucks after shipping. Knock off’s are 12 bucks with free shipping, but they ship from china, so I wont have it for a month.
Any ideas?

Alright. Well it turns out I am a moron. I’ve owned the creator pro for almost 2 years and never knew it was a 24 volt machine. I had a 12 volt heating cartridge in there.
Better of buying a 24 V power supply from Electronic shop Make a new hot end to take 2 x 24v heaters that way you can adjust term as you like, about 15 V works well
Glen,
Don’t know what your agenda is, but you did the same thing on the flashforge group, and gave the same wrong answers to posts.
This answer is just wrong.
Sad you did not tell me 3 mths ago… try it works well
Could you post a diagram of how this would be wired up?
What adjustable 24v power supply did you use?
Have a 240v 24v power supply the two 24v heaters are connected directly to the unit…Find 25v works will…Will need a Thermal gun to read temp or just play with load.unload for best results
Check the volts need to be 24V
Can you tell me what the correct answer and why does my printer work if it is wrong…???
