Hey Everyone!

So I have a monoprice 3d printer called the maker architect it has a plywood frame, but it came with a non heated plate that I have to use blue tape to remove my part easily. Now I have decided I want to upgrade to a heated plate to I can get even better results, I have contacted monoprice the company where the printer was purchased but I soon later realized that was a huge mistake since it got me nowhere. They are unreliable, not knowledgeable and most of all rude. So I turn to you all the community. I am hoping someone from this group can not only tell me what parts I need but how to properly install it as well. I know the 3D print community wont let me down. I thank you all in advance.

I upgraded mine a while ago, but from what I remember, all you need is a new PSU and of course the heated bed itself. Here are the ones I purchased:

Bed 24v:

Also got these connectors, they’re not necessary, but I didn’t want to solder directly to the board:

Hello,

Thank you for all the responses however the first link you sent is broken may you please send it again. Your help is much appreciated, also do you have any idea how I would set up the heated bed plate. Any response would be helpful. Thanks.

Try this one:

There wasn’t much setup that I remember. Remove the old one, plug the wires using the connectors into the board, and enable it in the settings. I also used a connector from an old computer, it was a cdrom audio cable that I wasn’t using and it fit. I think monoprice shipped a spare sensor cable with it too, but I haven’t looked at it to see if it would work.

The other thing I remember was having to swap out the screws from the old one, since the ones on that came with the new bed were too short.

For the wiring, I used the diagrams here: http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/Mighty\_Board

I think they’re labeled pretty well, and the wires are colored as you’d expect.

got it thanks!
