Do you guys know about shops specialized in bolts, nuts, etc? I hate places like Gamma for this type of things, they are expensive, you are forced to buy in bulks and the offer is not that great. I’m interested in online as well as local shops in Rotterdam. What about places to buy bearings? Thanks.
Try the hornbach you can buy per piece, otherwise you can try Conrad.

Hi Marcos,
I think the closest place to what you looking for will be http://reprapworld.com. They have phisical store too.
But if you not in rush I would advice to use aliexpress or ebay for any common nuts, bolts, bearings, etc. It usually takes not more than week till the moment when small packages appeared in your mail box.
Shipping is often free, and no difference in quality.
Will look into it. Thanks!
Hi Rusland, Reprapworld is my shop by default. But they are not specialist is this branch and also have quite limited offer, specially if you are into a non 3d printer project. I also use aliex, eBay and recently started using banggood for some stuff. But nothing compares to an actual physical store, where you can get in without knowing for sure what you want and get out with the perfect solution. Thanks!
Will take a look. Thanks!

rosentaler-schrauben.de you can buy thousands of screws, nuts, washers in whatever quantities. You should often go with 100pcs as the quantity discount is amazing. The warehouse is in Germany but I’m sure that they’ll ship to you. Stay away from local warehouses, they have very limited segments of screws etc. available also in most cases the employees have less to no clue what screw and mounting method would be best for your project. Lastly they are often expensive af. I often bought 100 screws from the website above for 4-8€ while you’d just get 8 screws for that price at local hardware stores.

I believe Hornbach sell bolts and nuts seperately
but I buy my stuff on ebay, its a lot cheaper…
I also buy almost everything off eBay, the problem is when shipping takes forever. When I’m not in a hurry is perfect, I can plan my projects and wait for the parts. But I just thought there was some local shop that could meet the short term demand. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks, I’ll try it out. Maybe I’ll have to change my mindset towards local shops here in Europe. I do prefer always online stores. I just miss the “oh I need a bolt, with butterfly nut and a wood insert, let me go to the corner and buy it” instead of waiting up to a month for something to arrive from China.

for bearings in Rotterdam, you can go to the SKF factory in Spaanse Polder. They have a shop there, where everybody is welcome.
My solution to that is to have a lot of spare parts

Hi, I use to buy at Fabory.com. They also have a shop in Rotterdam (Spaanse Polder).
Another one is Jeveka.com, but has no physical shop and you need to buy larger quantities mostly.
The Metaalwinkel is a hardwarestore specialised in metal, but it also has plastics and all sorts of other relevant products.
It has locations in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht. I’ve been told that in the near future they’re going sell stuff like Makerbeam and bearings as well.
