On my Da Vinci Jr., the feed tube gear on the top of my extruder stopped gripping the tube a few months ago. If you haven’t experienced that, when trying to get the filament into the extruder, such as when printing, it pushes up the tube instead, and the plastic won’t go in. It just keeps coming off of the spool. So far, I’ve been taping it with the highest strength Gorilla Tape I could find. It would only last for a few days of printing before the pressure weakened it and I would have to replace the tape.
While annoying, it worked. Recently, however, my second feed tube gear (on the other end of the tube) also gave out. Due to the location, it is proving impossible to tape down strongly enough to keep the tube in. I therefore need at least one new gear, preferably two. Now, XYZ spent several weeks giving me a quote last time I tried to get a new gear, and they said it was only $10. But they came up with the most complicated methods of payment possible in the modern day, and getting the money to them has proven difficult. I’m curious as to whether or not anyone has a spare or maybe one from a broken or unused Davinci. I don’t know if other Davincis besides the junior feed filament the same way, but the Jr. definitely uses them. They look kind of like a metal nut, with a plastinc button on top where the tube goes in. If any of you has one or two and also has Paypal or can take money orders, I would very much appreciate assistance.
If you have had experience with my problem and know of a good fix, even if temporary so that I can return to printing, it would be helpful. I 3d print for a living, so any help is a lot of help.

Everyone who owns a Davinci has this problem. Amazon has replacement parts, you can get like 10 pieces for less than $10. If someone trys to sell you 1 for $10 they are not to be trusted, because these parts will also break in no time. I have my own forever fix, I’m not sharing, some jerk will try to sell it for $100. best wishes.
