If you want to try out slic3r before buying S3D then following this video will help you a lot.

I used it to get slic3r working on my ctc a few months ago and have had no problems. The video uses macOS but it can be used for windows with a few changes like the way the program is installed.

Tried every step he says on the video but when i try to export the g code i keep getting a error saying to check Privileges. but i have full privileges on.

Maybe you are trying to save to a location it doesn’t like? How are you saving the gcode? I haven’t seen this before.

got it sorted now. its because i didnt put the exe at the end
