Hi, im new to 3D printing and have a design for a helmet chin mount for a go pro. Before i go ahead and get a quote for having it made can someone advise me the best material that resembles an original gopro mount? one that produces a smooth jet black finish or as close as im likely to get?

If you want to stay cheap I would recommend normal ABS, you can sand it down and smooth it with acetone.

If you want a solution that’s finished straight off the printer I would look towards SLS printers, maybe also SLA, but most SLA prints tend to be a bit brittle, i don’t know if that would work for your project.
