I’ve actually been seriously considering picking up the FT-5 myself… Would this be your first 3D printer? Because if it is, I don’t think the FT-5 would be a good choice for your first printer to be honest. The price is incredible for what the printer is, but it is a brand new design, so there will definitely be some growing pains. I’ve been using an Ultimaker 2+ Extended, but considering picking up the FT-5 as a side project, then possibly working on getting it to dual extrude, so it wouldn’t be my main printer. If your experienced, then I say it’s worth giving it a shot, especially at that price point. However, if your not experienced, I would seriously consider a different option to gain experience then go from there. Cheers

I have recently built two deltas and a FT-5 (plus I constantly rebuild ctc ha!), and the FT-5 was a challenging build \ the second one would go a lot smoother lol… but that said I Love it! It prints like a dream… there is a growing community on FB with great tech support! they are simply amazing. This was a Very challenging build it made assembly of my two delta G2s Pro by geeetech look like a cake walk. Like they said I would not recommend for first build, but I don’t know you and what you’re capable of! so The FT-5 is the best thing I have ever seen just be prepared to spend the money and buy top of the line wire Fetzel I think ohm racing sells it on Ebay … or Aircraft wire I think are best but still testing this theory…lol Just PLEASE NEVER Ever wire with speaker wire lol I tried it twice lol… :wink: It is hard to build this accurately but set up right is a dream!
