Hi guys!

I’m working on a project where I want to 3D print a shoe, but it needs to be of a flexible material. Is there anyone in the Netherlands who is able to 3D print with flexible filament?

Greetings,

Stefan

Is it a requirement to have the end-product of the shoe 3d printed? Otherwise i would suggest 3d printing a rigid mold to cast the shoe in silicone. This will make the shoe more durable

Most FDM printers will do flexible filiment but the quality will be highly dependent on the model. Shoes are quite complex so the quality will be low. I have printed some scaled shoes before for somone. The quality was not amazing but it worked. This was on a U2. If you want high quality flexible stuff u need to use a resin printer in my opinion. But to get the large build volume u need a big professional machine. Dunno if u can find them on 3d hubs. I know University eindhoven has got one. U might be able to ask some one there. If its school related they might help and it might be less expensive. Bonne

Yes we can

Builder 3d printers

Hi Stefan,

There some flexible options but it depends on the design, use and wishes. Moulding is also an option but can be complicated for a shoe. If you can show me the design i can advice you what technology/material/company you can use to print it.

I can print flexible with FFF printers but the result will be a bit ruff. I have also experience with professional print in flexible materials like Multijet, Polyjet, SLA and SLS.

Cheers,

Joury
