So this has happened a couple of times now, half way through a print it will just turn itself off, the LED in the back stays on so its still getting power but of course it turns off so i have to just throw away the half printed design.
Its really annoying.
Anyone else had this issue.
(The stepper motors are quite hot to touch after it switches off but im not sure if thats it)
“The stepper motors are quite hot to touch after it switches off but im not sure if thats it” Yes, this is most likely it.
If this is a new problem then try moving each axis by hand with the power off. If there is a lot of resistance you may need some maintenance, like cleaning and lubricating your bearings/rods/rails. Are you printing really fast? Might want to try printing slower to see if anything changes. The shut off is most likely the drivers on the board overheating and not the motor. Not sure what kind of board your printer uses but you can try lowering the current or adding some heat-sinks/fans to the board.

Its only 2 weeks old so i think ill just contact support and see what they say.
Thanks
Maybe you are pulling too much power check your power using a watt/voltage meter.
I don’t know about the Finder, but on the Creator Pro I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a loose ribbon cable going from the main board to the LCD/SDCard/KeyPad control panel. I had to remove the bottom cover to get to it, but I just pushed it back down tight and the problem was solved. Maybe yours is similar and came loose during shipping since it’s so new?
I did the same to me, then it stopped after a few weeks. Perhaps after I updated the firmware.

hmm, how do you go about updating it?
The software has a firmware update option.
