Hello guys,
So I’ve had the FlashForge Finder for a week and I’ve ran into a problem.
When it begins or ends a project, or just about anything that causes the extruder to go to the X:0 Y:0 position, it will collide with the limit switch and start to make a grinding noise. This seems like it’s an issue with the X limit switch, but I’ve noticed something strange.
When the extruder goes to the 0,0 point, it will first move in the X direction. Once it hits the limit switch, it will then move in the Y direction till it hits the Y limit switch.
If it’s positioned past a certain point in the Y when it’s moving to the X limit switch, then there will be no problem at all and I can do whatever it is i was going to do. I can use the printer as long as I manually position the extruder to a certain area before I begin anything, but I still have to deal with it when a print finishes and it tries to go back to the 0,0 point.
Can anyone help? I’ve seen some previous forums about replacing the limit switch cable and bending the switch, but I find it odd that this doesn’t occur as long as I have the extruder positioned close to the front of the bed before I start anything and will only occur if the extruder is positioned in the back.

Check cables for the X and Y stepper motors. Swap them and see if anything changes. Do the same for the limit switches.

Ok, I’ll give it a try and swap the cables.
Thank you very much!
