Hello,

I’ve been on and off phone and e-mail support with Flashforge for weeks now and am getting no where. About two months ago, while cleaning the nozzle heads, I twisted one just slightly and saw a little zap. I thought, oh crap, I’ve just fried the thing.

I fired it up and got a Tool 0 error, which I understand is the right extruder. When I go into monitor mode, I can see that it reads as 0 Degree C, while the print bed and left extruder preheat just fine.

Initially I thought, alright, well, I must not have fried the thing if it is ready temp’s accurately - and just not heating the right one. So then I tried printing on the left extruder, but found an additional problem - the drive wheels that pull the filament in are not doing anything. There’s nothing stuck in them, it’s completely clean, and I can push down on the little toggle to manually feed plastic through, which just melts and pushes out the nozzle end.

I’ve swapped around the cables for the two extruders on the main board and had no success. Flashforge has been giving one sentence replies to me every four or five days, and I’m a little bummed out thinking I have a $900 paper weight sitting on my desk now.

Can anyone shed some light on this, or suggest a course of action? I know very little about electronics, I’ve seem posts where folks are suggesting that you can take a multimeter to this part of the main board, but I’d be completely lost doing that.

Thanks folks, sorry for the long post.
