I printed my first test piece from the card (traffic cone) which worked well.

After the print, the extruder head moved all the way back and all the way to the right. When it moved to the right, it reached the extent of its range then made a very loud buzz, as if it were moving to the limit switch but never detected that it had reached the limit.

It stopped after a few seconds but I was rather panicky.

Did I damage anything?

Anything I can look for to do differently next time?

Probably no damage! Go to the front panel and find “home” selection, probably near where bed level is. Move the extruder away from the back right then do the home routine and see if it does it again. Probably power off and on first. If the buzz continues then it could be a bad limit switch or cables. you could swap out the switches to see if things change.

I did check and the limit switch is not activating when the extruder moves to the right. I put a tiny bend in the arm of the switch and now the switch clicks when I manually move the extruder. I ran a print and all is good!

Thanks for the help wirly!

Great to hear!!!
