I just received my Flashforge Creator Pro today and as I was setting it up I discovered that the spool holders are different and much larger than in the images etc and the Hatchbox PLA filament I purchased will not fit on the spools. I know that there are spool holders on Thingiverse I could have a local 3D Hubs 3dprint for me, but that seems like a big of an expensive approach although this would allow for many different brands of filament, but around $100 seems a bit steep. Can anyone suggest brands of PLA that will fit on the Flashforge’s larger spool holders other than ones directly from Flashforge or should I just buy the Flashforge filament? I should be able to return the Hatchbox PLA on Amazon and purchase other PLA spools that have the right size hole. Thanks.

Didn’t you get two sample spools of filament with the printer? I’m not sure why you can’t print your own spool holders with the filament you got with the printer?
Personally, I would not let the size of the original spool holder dictate what filament brand I could buy…
The very first part I designed and printed for my Creator Pro was a spool holder patterned very closely after the original, but sized to accept HatchBox filament spools (both ABS and PLA).

I also made one for Taulman 1lb spools:

I would also highly recommend a filament tube standoff, such as the one from Makersome:

If you didn’t get any FlashForge spools with your printer, why not just use a makeshift setup (broom handle or something)
with your hatchbox filament to get a proper filament spool holder printed?
If you really want someone to print out a spool holder for you, I think you can do a LOT better than $100.
For example, my Hub could print the Hatchbox design above for under $25.
The ABS that came with my FlashForge is good filament, but I personally prefer Hatchbox - and it’s a lot cheaper.

I did get spools with the printer but they are both ABS and although I have a large bedroom, the printer is near a window and I have a large Honeywell HEPA filter in my room, I am not sure if its safe to use ABS and since I’m new to 3D printing I am not sure if I can print something useful right away I may have trial and error just starting out. Also can you link me to your hub, most I tried on here cost more than that to 3D print that spool holder.
I have a FlashForge Dreamer and I do not bother with the Dreamer spools or mounting spindles.
I lay my filament spool flat on the table next to the printer on top of an 8 inch in diameter turntable, the kind you might use to put spices on in a kitchen cabinet. I have been doing this for over a year and it works great and requires the least amount of force by extruder to pull the filament from the spool.
I ordered my turntables from the link below:

The ABS that comes with the Creator Pro does not smell that bad - I’ve used a lot worse. Keep the window open and you may not even notice the smell.
If you are trying to use RepilcatorG, you probably will have a lot of trial and error. I’d really suggest buying Simplify 3D software for your printer. Your learning curve will be about 10x easier. You’ve bought a great printer - it deserves great software to run it.
