Hello,
my brand new flashforge creator pro makes a squaking noise when the Z axis is driven very fast e.g. when the build plate drives up and down before a printjob.
I already lubricated the spindle with grease (tekno RC grease), but it does not help.
What can cause this sound?
best regards
Bastian
Have you tried checking if there is a piece of plastic, or Styrofoam stuck in the bearing of the bed?
My guess would be a Styrofoam bead stuck mine did squeak at start but eased over time
I have this same issue on one of my printers. Still trying to figure this out. Following this post.
I figured out that the problem is caused by the spindle 3 to 4 centimeters under the stop switch. The sound only appears when the spindle drives with 2000mm/min or more. I put more grease on this place of the spindle and now it’s better, but its not gone. Seems like the spindle is a little bit deformed, like my heatbed… or my grinding X-Axis… And this in a new printer… I’m veeeeery disappointed.
Get a hold of the place you got it from and tell them. If it is brand new I would try for a replacement. Main thing is to get a case started with them otherwise you may find time goes by and you’ll be out of luck.
Hi. I talked to the flashforge team during an exibition for the same reason: they told me to put solid oil. I did it. Now it works fine.
