Hi everybody I was wondering if the Flashforge Creator Pro 2016 power supply has some juice left? Why am asking is simple. I like to add sone additional lightning in the printer chamber for better seeing the print when I am in front of it or via remote through the webcam. What I would need is just 0.8 at 12V or 0.4A at 24V both would be okay, but I wanted to know if anybody knows if the PS can take that before just go on and try. If somebody has experience with the printer and detailed knowledge about the reserves, it would be very much appreciated. Best regards, Christian

One of the things you can easily do it to change your firmware settings to always show the leds at white 100%. The sailfish firmware has information on how to do this. I am not sure whether or not you can do it in gcode.
otherwise, search the FLASHFORGE google user group, folks have done it in there.
The only time you have real powerdrain on an ffpro is when you are heating the bed and both extruders at the same time. If you avoid doing this… (IE heat the bed, heat the 1rst extruder, heat the second extruder, in sequence) then you should be fine.

Hi Already done that, but the built in LED stripe is just not bright enough. Guess if you think besided initialy heating up the power drain should be okay to attach other / strong lightning I will most likely do it like this. Make sure lightning is turned off as long as the heating up process is on. Once heated up I will turn the LED on, but also use some MOSFET to turn on the new LEDs. This way I could control it through my code. Or alternatively use MOSFET with an additional power supply.
