Hi guys, thanks in advance for your help. Whenever I print something on my Flashforge creator pro, 2 things happen. 1. for some reason, although only one extruder is selected, the print is extruded through one extruder and the supports/raft comes out of a second one. WHY?? also, i think this is related but the printer keeps pausing mid print for a few seconds, then continues. WHY?

Thanks,Justin

What slicer are you using?

Check your slicer settings and make sure you have only one nozzle active in your program. To be honest the software that comes with the printer is garbage, the best thing I ever did was to drop $150 on Simplify3D. I generate code and manage different printers with this software with good consistent results

Hi Justin!

I operate a flashforge dreamer so it may be a bit different, but on my printer you need to set the raft extruded in print options. There should be an option to select which extruder to use for support and which to use for rafting. Just choose the same one that you are printing with. Again, this may be different but for me, under the last tab in print settings, there is an option to enable or disable pausing after certain layers. I hope that provided some help!

Look like weird slicer settings. Try out flashprint 3.10 it’s just awesome. It prints as good as simplify 3d

Are you printing directly from your computer? Try printing from SD card. Also, what slicer are you using?

If you are using makerware, in the custom profiles for support and raft material change it from tool 1 to tool 0. Then it will all be extrdued from the right nozzle.

Pausing could be the retract settings in the custom profile, if they are too long or set too slow.

Check your slicer settings. There is an option where either the left or right extruder is set to build support material, so turn that one off. Make sure also, well this is using smiplify3d, that you sellect flashforge creator pro right extruder only, when it comes to your type of printer option. This pausing action is due to the fact that you are using 2 extruders, which makes the printer pause so that the printer has the time to clean the nozzle. Hope this helps, by the way what type of slicer are you using?

I had that issue. Sometimes the print would just hang in one spot and sometimes the extruder would shoot off to the side of the print and hang. As it turned out the problem was with the SD card reader on my computer. It would transfer files to and from the SD card without error on the computer but errors were getting in the code nonetheless. I bought and used a higher quality reader and have not had a pausing issue since.
