hey everyone! just joined up to see if i could get some advice, i am looking for a printer that is 200mmx200mm for under $350 usd if possible i saw some from a company called geeeetech and have seen some good reviews and bad reviews but i am not going to go with that or any other until i have more info, i do work in IT and i like to take things apart and put them back together and repair stuff so i am not opposed to a DIY kit 3d printer but any advice y’all can give me would be great!

The Wanhao i3 is a great printer as an entry point and comes in at only $399. It’s commonly called a tinkerer’s printer because there’s many mods you can make, it’s open source software and very customisable.
There’s a lot of information about it online which is another good thing as you can find the answer to almost anything you’ll ever need to know.
Our company sells them & have a 3dhubs promotion on right now for 10% off, I think there’s still a day or two left/ The coupon is 10for3dhubs. Comes with free shipping to your door. You can find us here if you’re interested. https://beautiful3dprinters.com/collections/all-printers/products/wanhao-i3-fully-assembled-steel-frame-version-2-1
Normally recommend this resource for i3 beginners as it’s pulled together most of the free-floating information on the net. 3dprinterwiki.info/wiki/wanhao-duplicator-i3
Hope this helps and gives you a good option

Hello. I recently purchased a clear acrylic geeetech prusa i3 pro from ebay new and completely unassembled for $249. The kit requires some setup and some common sense. but calibrations and leveling the bed are very simple and the kit is complete less the filament. I got the one with Arduino and ramps board combined(gt2560). I use autodesk 123d design to make stuff and repetier to slice and print. I have a few threads on building it and getting it dialed in here:
