Hi,

I am planning on getting into 3D printing. The afore mentioned printers seem like good options to me because of their rich featureset and competitive price (900€ for Duplicator, 950€ for Creator Pro). Now I am wondering whether there are some key differences between these products in terms of print quality, reliability, etc. as they seem to be pretty much identical in terms of specs. Which one would you recommend to buy? I read online that It might be a problem that these printers are lacking a cooling fan. Will that be a significant problem for printing PLA or even ABS? Will I be able to add one easily?

Or might there be a better option for me? To me it is important that the printer has a heated bed, the build volume should not be much smaller than the mentioned products and it should not be much more expensive than 1000€. As additional information: I am based in Germany and Kits would not be a problem for me as well.

Thanks in advance

Dorian

Hi Dorian, if you haven’t already, I strongly recommend checking out the 3D Printer Guide we put together based on the experiences of our Hubs. Let us know what you decided on

Hi, thanks for your response. I already checked out the guide and my personal favourite of these was the Flashforge Creator Pro but I’m still wondering whether there is a significant difference to the Duplicator 4s.

Hi Dorian,

I have a FF creator, and I love it.

The nice thing about the FF is that the community is fantastic.

There is a FF Google Forum, and the people on the forum are very informative, and will usually reply to your issue in less than 30 minutes.

Also, since the creator is so closely based off of the Makerbot Replicator 1 - dual, there is more support for software, and modifications.

Also, once again, check out the 3D printer guide.
