I ordered a turbo fan off of wish and cant get it to work. The fan that cools the extruder is always running so i ulpugged it and pluged in the new fan and nothing happens. I dont know a whole lot about electronics but does it have to do with the volts and amps of the fan?

p.s the new fan is 24volts and .12 amps

i also have another aftermarket fan that is 12volts and .09 amps and that one dosnt work either. The one on the printer is 12volts but dosnt say how many amps

I hope you don’t have an engine running that turbo, especially in the house. (you might suffocate due to the gases) :stuck_out_tongue:

What is the voltage of the power supply? Because If you are running 24v on a 12v fan, you can cause damage to it.

When you say nothing happens are you referring to the fan not spinning or the fan not stopping? If the fan doesn’t stop and it isn’t always active in the slicer it might be the connection (that you plugged the fan on the wrong pins) or the fan control board is damaged.

If the fan doesn’t spin that might be a damaged board/fan connector.

the 2 after market fans when plugged into the same connector both do not spin at all…but the 12v fan that came with it does spin in that same connector(always on). As for the board i tried to look it up but couldnt find much as its a Chinese knock off kit. here is the link to the printer and ill attach a pic of it as well. -thanks

(if you dont want to click the link just type in flsun3d printer on aliexpress)
