I have a maker select printer which printed the sample prints fine. However every time I try to print a piece of my own, it fails like an hour in. The printer always forms a big bead wherever it stops almost as if it printed too much material then got stuck. I can’t tell what the problem is but it’s kind of frustrating. Please help

Hey Cole_Otto,

This sounds like your nozzle is too hot for the material, so the filament will take longer to cool. This will cause it to drop through the nozzle and cause this bead as you described.

If you’ve changed filament I’d recommend finding out what the optimum temperature is or the boundaries that it should be operated with. Just experimenting with temperatures, using the advised temperatures for reference, will help you find the best temperature got your printer.

Hope this helps.
