Hello i have been having this problem with my wanhao duplicator i3

Yesterday my printer was printing an upgrade to my printer fine. But the next day i tryed to start up the printer and it made a weird noise from the fan. (in the “brain”)

But i quickly fixed it so i tryed to start a print and it just started not extruding any filament and just going without having any heat in the extruder.

So i stopped the print and tryed again with the extruder heated and heres a video of what happends.

Can you attach the .stl you have saved on the SD card?

Hi! Without knowing more about your particular situation, it looks like filament is being extruded and you did mention that it was getting hot. From the video you posted, it looks like it is having positioning problems. I have a duplicator 4 and I have had something like that happen when the gantry belt had jumped a few teeth. I have also seen that happen with software when you are trying to set the strata height. I might recommend you check your belts and gear positions to ensure that printer knows where the extruder head is. I would then consider resetting to default settings. I hope that helps or gives you more food for thought. Best of luck!

hi their,

it seems like SD card problem, due to some data loss, printer may skips some layers.

i had the same type of issue, after replacing the card its working find, please do check after replacing the card

good luck
