I’m using the MakerBot Print software, to print stuff with a Replicator 2X that I’ve had for a while.

By default the software uses the right extruder, while I would like to use the left one.

Older versions of the program let me decide wich one to use, but on the latest releases (2.7) I can’t find anything about it.

There’s no extruder selection in Makerbot Print yet, just use the old trusty Makerbot Desktop.

Makerbot print does not currently support dual extruders.

Forget the Makerware. It’s very basic and rudimentary. I use Simplify 3D, it allows you to control virtually hundreds of paramenter. you can even control the temperature of any specific layer.

It’s $150 and a bit hard to learn but once you get used to it, it’s great. Look for some videos on youtube.

Your other option is to flash the firmware to “sailfish” and run cura.

MAKERBOT DESKTOP on left icons the lower is i, double click and select left or right extruder

So you are all saying there is not any way to choose extruder. Any idea if they are giong to add it in the future, or should I look for a way to modify the .print file that’s produced?
