Hi Guys,
New to 3d printing, well I’ve been doing it for a few weeks now and decided to give marvin a go.
I normally print simple large ABS cases so marvin is something new to me.in number 2
The first marvin finished fine but the overhangs weren’t great and I wasnt pleased so lowered the temps. Marvin number 2 much better, but still not good enough for my liking.
So Marvins 3 and 4, not finished properly but the quality much better. I decided to print 2 to help with cooling, there are some imperfections on either side due to stringing so ill either move the marvins closer together or increase retraction distance (currently 1.7mm) not sure how the speed and restart speed for retraction effects this?
I noticed adding a usb fan improved overhangs greatly, however as you can see maybe cooling a bit too much as one marvin was knocked of the bed, and the other, well you can see his nice hat!
Anyone have any tips? I might try sailfish if it helps and a different slicer. Thanks for any suggestions.
Settings : Wanhao duplicator 4
abs 230c extrude, 100 platform (glass bed, kapton tape, hairspray)
Travel: 55mm
Extrusion: all 25mm
infil: 50%
layer: 0.15mm
shells:2
For my larger prints i normally use 238c and 115 bed with abs slurry and they are perfect, but as i said simple cases like raspberry pi etc. The other two photos show the backs.

Indeed, you can’t edit your thread for now, but I can help in the mean time. I’ve added the back photos too - hope it’s ok now? Cheers
