I have an open enquiry that may not convert to an order. I also ‘heard’ that Archiving an enquiry negatively impacts my rating. Will it stay open forever if I jut leave it?

My experience is that an enquiry will eventually expire and archive automatically. I have “heard” that any archiving (by you or automatic) negatively affects your hub ranking. I’m not sure if that is true, but if it is and they are equally negative, you might as well archive yourself for tidiness.

Yes, AFAIK, a enquiry that has been ‘Archived’ will, for some unknown reason to me, be listed in your ‘Declined’ list. Of course, this is completely ridiculous as a lot of enquiries are nothing more than a question asked by a potential customer, but this is the decision of 3D Hubs.

Agreed, it is ridiculous for an inquiry to count against you or be marked as a decline for any reason.

As a note “Enquiries” do NOT affect hub rating when closed and archived. If an enquiry converts to an order, it becomes an order and is treated as an order would normally affect your metrics. So enquiries are a good thing. :slight_smile:
