How do you go about updating the Marlin firmware? I see many guides to installing Marlin for other printers but is the wasp running custom code? Waspproject has no firmware available for download.

WASP firmware uploader
In order easily upgrade the firmware of the printer, given the constant updates and improvements a software has been designed and developed for the automatic loading of the firmware.
The software “WASP firmware uploader” will automatically search online for the latest firmware versions available for the WASP printers.
Once the software is opened (it is an executable that can be used for only on Windows), it will be possible to choose the language (IT,ENG) and follow the instructions.
Select the type of printer and the board type according to the one described
on the “info" menu on the printer LCD display. (Menu> More> es.firmware 2.1 rev 6)
By clicking on “Check fw update” the software will download the new versions (if avayable)
Connect to the printer via USB cable select the correct communication port and press the upload button in order to start the firmware loading process.
When this process is completed, select: menu> advanced> restore failsafe, then save memory, then load memory.
update the values of “z max” and “delta settings”
Then: menu> advanced> store memory
N.B.
Before updating the firmware check the following values:
- The value of “z” on the display after car home
- Values "delta settings" menu, then> advanced (control)> motion> delta settings
from the 2.1 firmware the printing temperatures should be increased approximately 20°C.
(For example, the PLA from 175°C to 200°C).

Hi, i’m a WASP reseller from Torino, Italy.
If your printer works, i suggest you to avoid to do firmware updates.
The WASP printers run a modified version of Marlin, so you can’t update it in standard way.
There is a special program to download the firmware from WASP website and upload it to the printer, but you must be careful to save and restore the settings of the printer.
Moreover there are different releases of control board, and must take care to versions compatibility.
If you need the upgrade for some problem, write to WASP support.
