I was messing around with setting extruder height, etc. and started printing a fairly complex little test.
I decided to let it print while I snoozed on the couch.
Awoke in a couple of hours with a JAM. What I thought was a serious extruder jam.
After cursing (quite creatively) and shaking my fist at the heavens, I found it.
Apparently the gear friction (because of an jam in the extrudernozzle to begin with) caused the plastic to heat up between the gears, and deform, and… THERE IT IS.
This might help someone else who is scratching their head with a “WTH?” jam problem.
I love this “cheap” little printer. Once dialed in correctly(?), it will do some very nice prints.
