I recently bought a Davinci mini w and started printing 3d stuff. Since then i started tinkering with this 3d printer and started following the instruction video’s on xyz-website. (http://wiki.xyzprinting.com/labs\_2\_en\_us/miniMaker/en/adjust-z-axis/)

When i leveled the X-axis as shown in this video, everything went wrong. I couldn’t calibrate no more (the nozzle-unit would almost be pushed through the bed! at some points on the bed)

Strangely enough if i misallign the x-axis again (back to the “default” allignment) then calibration works again and i can print again. There is however and allignment problem. If i 3d print “coins” at the four corners of the printbed. 2 coins (at the far right of the printbed) are about 1 mm less thick then the model. The printbed of the Davinci mini w can’t be alligned (right?). Only the X-axis hovering above the printbed can be alligned.

What to do?

Hi,

It’s funny that the web site address you listed is for the mini-maker, but the video is for the mini w. I guess with the exception of the wi-fi (which doesn’t work), XYZ considers them the same. I have a mini w. I love it, but it does require tinkering. Have you tried doing an auto-calibrate just to try and reset the whole thing? -Steve
