I can’t for the life of me figure out how to add a custom volume or name to my printer. I have a custom built delta with an 18" diameter, and a 3ft z height, yet I’m going to be missing prints because 3dhubs thinks my printer is smaller (I had to list it under the “reprap” name).
Does anyone know how to do this? Or even if it is possible?

I would be interested in this as well, there is a “show incompatable printers” button on the hub search page, so you can receive orders larger then your stated build dimensions.

Unfortunately I don’t think customers will be looking for “incompatable” printers…
If I do find a solution, I will let you know.

I have probably received 10 orders that are larger than the stated build volume of my printer, so some people do use it.

That’s great to know!
I well… don’t really get orders, but since I have this new printer with a large build space, I really wanted to advertise that.

Price is your best advertisement
Heh, I’m already cheaper than hubs near me, guess I’ll keep waiting and doing what I can.
Hey @icecube45, apologies for the late reply. You can list your printer by filling in this form. Then my colleague @Mercedes
will add it to our database. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy Holidays!

Really? I only got 1… My issue is getting too many orders for parts that are too small to print unless you have a resin printer (I dont)

Your prices look pretty good, and you seem to have good activity in your first month, things ramp up once you have more reviews.
I have not seen any negative effect from declining orders I can’t print on my printer, not sure why people seem worried about this. I guess it is disappointing to lose and order when you don’t have a ton yet.

Thanks! Yes, I have been rather happy with the activity my hub has gotten… Unfortunately in the last week or so my view counts and search view counts have been stagnate vs normal (1-3 a day vs 20-100+ a day)… I guess holiday season is having a reverse effect than I hoped for…
I’m aware that the declines don’t hurt your rating (usually)… but honestly like all of my orders have come in at like 11pm-2am (seriously college students I tell ya! lol) but I try very hard to have a fast response time to orders and it gets annoying when I get a order at 1am and its the size of a dime. Or worse has tiny details and super thin…

Price isn’t always a factor… Its quality and customer services…
My first customer had apparently been burned a few times on 3Dhubs (and at his school) with bad prints and couldn’t get refunds on anything also due to all the bad prints he was short on time (it was for a gift or school project or something I guess). I ran his prints more or less overnight as a favor and because it was my first order… He said the prints I gave him were literally 10x nicer than anything he had gotten so far… and some of the ones he got were literally broken or falling apart because the printer didn’t bother adjusting the model alignments or using supports, they just loaded the model and hit print with default settings.
What area is your hub based in? My one customer gave me a nice review, so I’m wondering if it may just be that not many people order near me.
Thank you! I’ll start that process now!
If you haven’t seen, @gabriela3d responded in regards to the custom build area, turns out it is possible!

Im in Orange County - Where Disneyland is… (can seriously ride a bike to Disneyland if I want)
There is also -a lot- of competition for me, a good 5-20+ hubs within 10miles of me pending the day of the week (random off lines a lot it seems) … But luckily(unluckily?) lots of the hubs near me are going resin…
Also worth changing up your description a little bit… look at my hub I have -a lot- of information listed…
Also worth mentioning on your pictures what printer printed what and what layer height and material so customers know what different things look like… be surprised how many people shop for printing and have no clue what 50 micron vs 200 micron looks like.

I’ll try to work on it, I was hoping to revisit everything on my hub (description, pictures, you name it), but getting this printer in was the first step.
It’s good to have an example though.
I can actually probably get some new show prints done today.
