Hi, are there any plans to update firmware so people can use 3rd party filament, or is my machine and thousands of other ready for the scrapheap?

There are hacks out there on how to use an existing cartridge and standard filament spools. People are also using base unit and ardiuno to turn into open source printer. Do a search on Cube 3 hacks and you’ll get plenty of info to keep you busy.

I am in the process of running down a cartridge to try the filament hack and will be adding a post to tell how it went.

I used some 3rd party filament but the chip still counts down, it also counts down when purging even if extruder is blocked!!..what a rip!
