I printed Marvin today in white PLA and wonder if any of you more experienced users have ideas on how to improve the print quality. At arms length it is fine. The closer that you look though, the layers are more visible.

In particular the keychain loop is very granular looking.

See attached photos.

Thank you for your help!

Hey Steve,

are your fans at max. power? If the printer allows you, maybe bring down the temperature (white PLA needs less heat than black). If fans are already on max. power, you can also try to print Marvin slower.

Good luck!

Luuk-

The Cube Gen 2 does not have fans that blow on the product being printed. I could add an external fan. Does that help a print to look better?

I’m not sure how to adjust temperature of the head or change the print speed. Does anyone with a Cube machine able to provide some guidance?

Your help is appreciated.

Heya! Can you share your printer settings with that previous print? Form there, I should be able to point you in the right direction.

Great, thank you for the offer of help. Do you know where to find the settings on a Cube Gen 2 machine? I just selected PLA as the material and it printed using whatever is the default.

sorry but cubify printers are worst ones.

have a look on the CubePro print results, from the left: CubePro (PLA with INF), CubePro (PLA), Makerbot (PLA)
