Hi! So recently a friend of mine asked me to print him 200 little baskets for reasons unbeknownst to me. And about halfway through the print. My printer started behaving strangely. Its print everything at a 45° angle and would make horrible noises when moving the X-axis. I narrowed the problem down to the cabling of the X-Axis stepper and stop switch. So I replaced both with great success. I just completed a test print of the Calibration cube. So whats the problem then? Glad you asked.the printer isn’t homing correctly. It goes around half way, then stops. I checked the stop switch.it seems to be working fine. While in Jog mode it stops correctly if I tap the switch. Also the bottom two layers of the calibration cube were off. First layer +2mm second layer -3mm I’m a bit lost.

Have you checked if the head can move freely, no binding, is the toothed belt catching on anything or rubbing, sounds like you have a binding issue

Hi jjpython. Firstly thank you very much for your reply. Secondly. Print head moves freely on the y axis. In jog mode I can move it without hinderance from xmin to xmax. Belt looks fine. No broken teeth. No obvious damage. Tention looks good also. I cant hear it skipping teeth. Its not catching on anything as far I can tell. I moved it to XMax and told it to home. It moved about 50mm then stopped. Any advice on diagnosing the problem?
