Hello everyone
I am using a ctc printer and my 40mm fan (the ones in front of the motor, the right one)'s wires got burnt so i replaced them with my new 40mm fans.
However, whenever i start the printer on, the fan starts.
While the printers printing models, it keeps on blowing which makes the printer use more electricity to keep the extrusion in stable temperature and the place i live in is a place with rally high electricity bills.
I tried putting a piece of paper to stop the fan but it heated up.
The fan i replaced with is a 24v-DC 0.12A fan and found out the original fan was 24v-DC 0.1A fan.
Should i order a new 0.1A fan or is there a solution to this problem? Thank you
It’s supposed to blow every time the hot end is above 50*C, it’s there to keep the extrusion tube cool.
Blocking the fan to stop it is a great way to overheat the motor and start a fire.
Thank you. I noticed that the reason why i didnt know the fan was suppose to be blowing was becuase my replacement fan is too loud
