Hello, yesterday my printer was working fine, now today after installing a z axis mod it will only print one or two layers, everything starts, prints skirt and then the first layer or two and then just stops and nothing can be moved in any axis. cancelling the print frees everything up.

I tried reset but still the same, there is no “funny noises” the carriage just stops. The bit of printing that it does looks fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to the problem. Thank you.

Hi, By any chance was this when printing off the card?

As this happened to me brt as soon as I printed via. a laptop with a new project, I had no problems till I went back to the demo files on the card.

Hi, thanks for the reply, yes using the card I got random freezes while using laptop was fine. After sitting down and thinking about it I looked at the ribbon cable from the card reader as I had done a z axis mod, after checking the cable and unplugging it at both ends and plugging it back in the problem was solved it’s been working fine since.
