So this last week I’ve been having problems with my heated bed. First it wasn’t heating correctly and not reaching adequate printing temperature and then today whilst printing a calibration cube in Abs, the bed was set at 120 and overheated resulting in this absolute mess. Has anyone else had this problem with the CTC? I’ve contacted the manufacturer but so far nothing from them. Cheers Steve

Don’t expect any support from ctc or your seller there usually rubbish I’d suggest opening a PayPal dispute for half the printers value for a near fire and parts replacement, a spare can be had of eBay for about £25

Most heated beds do take awhile to heat up, but always make sure they are not set too high. You might want to use a temperature gun before every print and make sure the thermister is working correctly.

Burning that that is caused by poor connections, in high current applications. Just replace the connectors, cut back the wire til it’s clean copper, and you’ll be fine.
