Hi Guys,

I have had this 3D printer and has worked fine for past 3 weeks

but heat plate z axis has since failed and does not move even when selecting home axis or leveling. there is only a noise of a motor(z axis motor i guess) when pressing and display of please wait but no movement in plate while x,y axis work fine.

Any ideas anyone on how to fix this.

Check for a broken or shorted cable. Seems to be going around right now.

Check your stepper motor cables. You can do this by swapping them out with your other stepper cables that work.

Do the same for your end stop cables.

It is one of those, probably.

I checked all stepper cables and seem to be in order.

Have not yet swapped out other cables though will do this soon.

have not yet checked if wires are not broken or shorted. will look in more detail.
