Anyone ever printed at .03mm layers on a CTC I just did it. Not a great looking print at the top but it worked!! Had to change fillament halfway througj, ran out.

I’ve had mine print at 0.02mm layer and it wasn’t really that great. Took way too long and the top layers came out awfully, the layers weren’t being pressed down enough and you could see light through them as if the bed wasn’t level. I personally never go any lower than 0.1 but I rarely use 0.1, only if it’s a small part and it won’t stick to the bed. Otherwise I use 0.2mm
Yea the top of this fifnt turn out good i just wanted to try it lol. You see how small that is and it took almost 3 hours to print.
I don’t think the extruder has the resolution to do layers that thin. You need to be able to acccurately control tiny extrusions. 1/16th microstepping in direct drive doesn’t cut it.
I understand that. I think thats why it isnt smooth on the back. It kinda feels like a sand texture, its not layer lines though. Im not trying to say that i would advertise 30 microns on my Hub. Just wanted to see if it would work and it did. Just an experiment.
