Hi there,

I am a student from the UK doing research for the RSA Student Design Awards competition with the project title ‘Making it Inclusive’. The brief is to ‘design a way to enable more people to enjoy the benefits of making’. I have made a survey which will take 2 minutes to fill out and I would really appreciate some responses from this community as it will be some of the most informative i can get in terms of previous printing experience.

My idea is to produce crowd sourced furniture, sculpture and public spaces using components made using 3D printers, somewhat similar to Project Egg from last year and the project PrintToPeer, 3D Hubs and RepRap Warehouse undertook but this would be for the benefit of the community rather than a private venture.

Thanks in advance for your responses and it would be great to talk in more detail about the project below.

This is quite a nice project, it reminds me of the recent 3D printed sculpture in Portugal: BEEVERYCREATIVE helps 3D print 5-metre tall sculpture - TCT Magazine. I’m happy to see there’ll be more of them coming! Good luck with your research

I hadn’t actually seen this example until now so thanks boydconnor. I’m hoping to get at least a small scale version of the project completed before the year is out.
