Hey guys,
I’m still trying to learn everything there is to learn about 3d printing, I’ve had my printer for a while and decided that it could use a good cleaning as there were bits of plastic stuck in the gears of the extruder. I was able to disassemble the extruders and clean them out, but once I put everything back together it started doing this strange thing. When I try to load filament into my printer via the printer onboard screen (not computer), it thinks I am trying to unload. Same the other way around. If I select unload filament, it will begin to load. Needless to say, when I try to print something, all it does is try to unload the filament rather than printing onto the print bed.
I’ve never run into this problem before, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Perhaps you reversed the cables to the motor? Make sure you plugged it in correctly.

check the wires on the stepper motor sounds like you have reversed the wires in fact could almost guarantee that’s the problem
Ah, that was it. Rookie mistake haha. Thank you!

Check the connection pins and wiring going into the plastic connectors. Since you just cleaned the machine make sure nothing is obstructing the contact points.
Good luck and let me know if that solves the issue,
Adam
