Hi guys,
Zetoff will allow you to customize your phone case and download the .stl model to be printed.
Any feedback is more than welcome.
Thanks,

Hey @PolGuixe
I really think this is a great tool! Although I really like your website, in the section “choose a pattern” I’d love to see real time edits. So when I scroll from 0 to 20% see all the changes and not just the beginning and ending point.
I’ll use it for sure, thanks a lot for suggesting it here!

Thank you very much for the feedback @Simona. We will keep updating the application with new features.
Is there anything that you would like to model in this way? Like houselhold items, jewerelly, etc.

Thats cool! Any chance for adding more cases? Nexus 5, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note, Small tablets, iPad mini (yes some of us can print those :))…

In the next days I’ll be working on adding those!
With the cases we are only scratching the surface of what it can be done? Is there anything else you will be interested in 3D modelling?
Cool!
I think cases are a good way to introduce people to 3D printing in general since more and more of them have phones. Why not allowing to import your own pattern in the system. People could save and share their design.
I see a lot of parametric things could be added such as 3d text keychains (like this: YouMagine – 3DHubs keyChain by pmdude – YouMagine 👗), photo frames, coat hanger or vases. Maybe having the possibility to create your own keychain from a mesh or picture you have (import your mesh, choose the size, squash or deform it and add the hook or hole where you want it).
Really great! Even cooler if a direct print link to 3D Hubs will be added in the future

Is there any API we can use?

We’re on it
Almost, hang in there a little longer. Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback!!
What do exactly refer to import your own pattern? So the user can update a file with a shape and we transform it into a pattern? Seem a very good idea.
Regarding the other objects we are working on making them avaiable asap. We also thought it will be problably better if we make the tools we use available to other designer so other people can also create customizable objects. What do you think?
You got the import part right :).
Sharing the tool could be great but might raise copyright issues. Some review will then be required. Are you using OpenSCAD to generate the results?
Some other ideas:
- Patterns need XY position offsets
- Allowing extrusions
- Partial carving instead of cutting the entre mesh
- Displacement maps using grayscale images
- Mixing more than one pattern (especially with extrusions or partial carving)
- Allow to type in the number and go out of the range of the sliders (size for example)
Good points.
We are not using OpenSCAD as it was a quite slow. So we decided to write our own libraries.
