How much it costs to print a 3D part? If it is in hours, how much it costs? Or shape of the part?

Material used is PLA.

Thank you.

Hey @Pavan07,

The price is calculated based on how much material has to be used for the part that you want to print. Do you happen to have a 3D model of what you need printed? Then you can easily calculate the price on Online 3D Printing Service | Instant 3D Printing Quotes | Hubs

Yeah, I have a 3D part. (Material used is PLA.) But, in one of the company, they asked me to give 10 Rs/min. (Indian currency) When I checked in 3D hubs, it is very less. So I want to confirm whether it is true or not!

Thank you.

PLA comes under General Purpose Plastic?

Hi Pavan07,

Currently £1 is equal to 96 rupees, so it would workout to be £0.01 for 1 rupee. Hence 10p/min and 600p or £6 an hour. I would not recommend this for large items as they can sometimes take days which may eat into a budget that you may have for a part. It would also depend on the speed that the printer operates which is affected by the amount of filament that passes through the nozzle. Definitely look around 3D hubs as you get charged on a starting fee, then an amount based on the filament you use. This works similarly to how a Taxi works, with a fixed fees and variable fee.

If you ever have any project in the future, I would be delighted to offer my services. My prices are quite reasonable (cheaper than most I’ve seen) with my variable cost just enough to refill on filament and an initial cost of £3.99. I am rather flexible and can offer to reduce the initial cost if you parts are quite small, so that you are not wasting your time and money. I do not have PLA on the system, but would happily get some if you required some and got in contact.

I hope this has helped. If you have any queries just ask and I’ll be happy to help you out.
