Hi guys,

Im using a Makerbot Replicator X2, and the only problem I’m having so far is the filament im using (ABS/ 1.75) is not sticking to the build plate as it should.

Im using Kapton Tape only, no other tape/glues/sprays anything.

The Build plate its self is as level as ill get it.

Im hoping its a simple print setting problem (for example. my heated bed temperature is too low) Something on the right lines as this.

My current print settings are attached.

Hope someone could share if they have had similar problems, or have more advanced knowledge. It would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

PJ:)

My first thoughts are extruder slightly high, I run at 230. Bed slightly high, I run at 110 and maybe printing to fast. Do you have the cooling fan off and is the cabinet fully enclosed to keep the temps stable? Just thoughts.

ABS is tough. You might try a brim on it to help hold down the corners. A raft works good but I find I can not get it off and end up with a mess. I am battling the same issue right now.
