What is the Hubs position on copyrights ? Can files be private or is everything community property ?

Uh… any file sent to you by a customer should be considered as private transaction not public…
You should -not- reproduce anything printed for a customer or use pictures as display or advertising of your print work without their approval…

6.4. By submitting 3D Content through the Services or Website, the User grants 3D Hubs and the Hub accepting the Order a non-exclusive, royalty free worldwide non-transferable license (i) to review the 3D Content on the basis of technical specifications (including but not limited to checking for any technical errors); and (ii) to use the 3D Content for the manufacturing of the 3D Print in order for the Hub to fulfil the Order placed by the User.
6.5. In the case that the User has indicated his consent by indicating that the 3D Content is public 3D Content, the User grants 3D Hubs a non-exclusive, royalty free worldwide non-transferable license to display the 3D Content on the Website and to reproduce, distribute, display or sell the 3D Content for any commercial purposes.
6.6. The User represents and warrants that it has all rights to grant the licenses of Clause 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5 without infringing or violating any third party rights, including without limitation, any privacy rights, publicity rights, intellectual property rights (including any copyright, patent, design right, trademark, trade secret or any other proprietary rights) or any other proprietary rights.
6.7. A User placing an Order with a Hub represents and warrants to that Hub that he has all rights to grant the licenses of Clause 6.4.ii without infringing or violating any third party rights, including without limitation, any privacy rights, publicity rights, intellectual property rights (including any copyright, patent, design right, trademark, trade secret or any other proprietary rights) or any other proprietary rights.
