Hi guys,

We’ve been experiencing bad colour striping issues over the past couple of months. It’s slowly getting worse and worse. We’ve replaced heads, aligned, run stripe tests, cleaned thoroughly, etc.

But the striping still persists. Does anyone have any suggestions to remedy this?

Thanks,

What printer? Make sure your lines and filter are clear. Wash out with bleach water. That is a biggie if you are getting striping. Also clean the pogos

Hi! Thanks for the reply. We have an 860pro. Seems to be slightly more temperamental and harder to manage than a 660 but essentially exactly the same tech and components.

The filter is kept clear, we clean the machine regularly, especially pogo pins. We are also replacing many of the parts (pogo board/pcb board/spatoon cable/etc) and troubleshooting. The problem is still persisting.

By ‘lines’ do you mean ink pipes? We havent cleaned out the pipes with bleach water yet, it has been 1 year now. Perhaps I should do this asap…

Please see images to give you an idea of the striping problems we have, not the part is supposed to be all green but has yellow/white striping throughout, at equal intervals. (its a small part but essentially this is what happening throughout all of our parts on every layer, for any colour). Would greatly appreciate if you have any more suggestions.

Further to that, is there a specific type/brand of bleach water to use? Should I use the same stuff I would use for a washing machine for example?
