Hi, I am looking for a way to print a 7"x4" bowl in a dark brown color. I am being told this is not really an option for standard 3d printers. But I have seen some resin prints in brown called spot-IC or spot-HT. What is the tradeoff and where can I see some samples? What do I need to look for to hire a printer for this job? Like the machine name?

Hi there !
I could do the print for you in such brown color. Is the bowl 7" in diameter or height ? If the bowl has a size of 7" diameter and 4" height it would print in one go. I also offer CAD designing if you want a custom vase. Contact me via my Hub:

Even though i have no brown color in stock i’d get any color you want for the model upon request.
I can order from the complete Colorfabb PLA/PHA porfolio. I hope the brown colors fit your needs as displayed below. What is the purpose of the bowl? Should it be used for food / decorative with a plant / …
The material choise is very limited when you want food safe materials as there are not that much materials to choose from, you’d probably want a bowl out of T-Glase or XT (very common food safe materials), as neither is available in brown you’d have to spraypaint the bowl.
Here’s a link to the brown PLA/PHA i mentioned above:

Hope to hear from you,

What material are you looking to use toe print the bowl? If you are open to a powder printer, our ProJet 660PRO can certainly print it in color provided we have a WRL file. Also, we can infiltrate in StrengthMax (epoxy) to give the bowl a very hard and durable characteristic. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
Bheenan,
I’m in Dallas and I have the capability to scan and/or just print the bowl. The 660Pro has photoshop colors and printing the bowl is pretty much effortless. Send me file on Aje’s Hub and I can quote it.

We are located in Austin, TX if you are interested. Our 3DS ProJet660 PRO is located on site. Thanks.
Hi, How strong is the final product? Will it be like ABS or PLA? Or will it be brittle?
Hi Marius,
I am looking to get this done local this time, but thank you very much for the information.
Regards,
Bryan
Tony,
Thanks for the info. I’ll try and work in Austin on this project. If it doesn’t work out, I will reach out to you.
Thanks again,
Bryan
Looking for an outdoor strong plastic like ABS or PLA or similar for this proto. Depends on the strength with the exopy? Or maybe we can print a powder print version for final marketing proto? I was trying to keep the cost down and combine protos, but might not have a choice.
