What would work best for jewelry details such as geometric patterns? I’m interested in this type of art deco inspired pattern, from wood or wood-like material. Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks

Machining would be better, as casting from wax or resin would not get the detail you would like on this design

This particular design pattern lends itself more to laser cut or machining, maybe even brass/copper photo etching (of course etching will not work if you’re just planning on using wood)… there are several types of jewelry products with similar chevron designs patterns that utilize laser cut methods using leather, wood and acrylic as the medium. Depending on scale you could use wax/resin casting but I believe you would have to do some experimenting with trial and error as well as a lot of post production clean up to eliminate flashing and detail fills with either voids and/or gaps in the finished product… good luck.

Find a good cad designer who works in tsplines. All your reliefs will be picked up if printing or CNC milling.

I think CNC is better

Hello,

We would suggest laser or chemical engraving.
