Hi, a while ago i bought from china a 4-axis cnc engraver and hooked it up amd got it to work. I made a few projects just by entering the code by hand and never got any further than that, it sits now in my garage gathering dust and i was wondering how hard it would be to convert it to a 3d printer. I do have some background in electronics and i imagine that i would need to replace the control system with one designed for 3d printers, buy a hotbed and mount it in the tray, get a printer head etc and a bracket to fit and then find some appropriate software to run it all. I do realise that it would probably be cheaper and easier to buy a ready made prusa or something but to be honest i like a challenge and i also want to get some use out of the engraver i spent thousands on and hardly touch. Sorry for the long post
