Hi folks Printer is broken. When n want to do anything it makes one hell of a noise and says “check y endstop/y stage zortrax” Is the y stop broken or is there more to it? The axis is pressed up against the y stop so I can not even remove it. Regards, Andre
Does it make a loud noise when you it starts? The solution that I found, turn off the printer move the head to the middle and then turn it on, hope that helps. I know it’s not a fix but it’s a workaround. If the axis is pressed up against the plate just move the plate down and restart it.
I’ve just replied to your ticket, it doesnt necessary mean that endstop is ‘dead’. Try performing full XY axis maintenance - http://support.zortrax.com/xy-axes-maintenance/
Hi Pixelophy
I did as you said. No luck. The head just moves off to the left and jams again when I try to print a model or calibrate. Thank you for trying to help.
Hi Marcin.
I did as you said. I also performed a X/Y DRIVE PULLEYS MAINTENANCE. No luck. The head just moves off to the left and jams against the endstop again when I try to print a model or calibrate.
Sound like the limit switch is faulty.
I had few minutes ago the same problem, but the answer was simple. Bearing has moved out of the mount on the front X axis and was blocking the full movement.
Hi folks. Thanks for all your feedback, but it has become much worse even after sending it in for repairs. Warping at the left front corner of the bed even at 30mm away from the build limits “This was from the start” Screeching friction sounds coming from the bed’s screw axis bearings/coupling “that got fixed” Bed started warping of 0.4mm in the middle “that got fixed” Support material that was almost impossible to remove “that got fixed” Head of printer moving to left wall of printer and smashing it like a woodpecker “got fixed” Nozzle of printer smashing the bed repeatedly like a “woodpecker” got fixed an doing it again. Stepping of the layering in the z axis “intermittent” Excessive stringing “intermittent” Sharp edges not printing "use to print perfect with same model in the begining. I am sure I must just have been unfortunate to receive a factory defective printer. Things will hopefully be sorted out this week. I will keep you all posted. Below is a link to some of the errors. Excuse the dirty nozzle. The stepping caused a mess at an expo today while trying to promote the machine to potential customers. Dropbox - File Deleted
